Launching the East Bay SPCA Blog — Building a Home for Impactful Storytelling
East Bay SPCA needed a way to showcase the incredible stories happening every day across its shelters, clinics, and community programs. I developed and launched the organization’s storytelling blog — a digital space designed to deepen audience connection through authentic, mission-driven content.

My Role:
Developed content strategy and editorial calendar
Wrote and captured photos/videos for the majority of the blog entries currently featured, focusing on unique animal stories, staff voices and thought leadership, and community impact to elevate giving.
Curated photos and videos to pair with each story, emphasizing warmth and authenticity
Collaborated cross-departmentally to ensure brand alignment and consistent voice. Assets were always fashioned for social media sharing to bridge engagement and improve SEO and social analytics.
Impact:
The blog quickly became one of the most-visited sections of the website and a key driver of social engagement. Posts like “Snowy’s Return Home” and “Taking Our Work Home” earned strong community response, reinforcing the organization’s compassionate, transparent brand identity.
