Strengthening the Voice of Community Health

The Health Trust Blog & Strategic Communications

As a long-standing advocate for health equity in Silicon Valley, The Health Trust needed a communications strategy that could both tell the stories of its community partners and guide audiences through moments of organizational change. I played a key role in shaping and managing the organization’s blog and leading communications for a major strategic transition — when The Health Trust shifted away from direct services to focus on grantmaking and policy.

My Role

Working closely with leadership, I helped position The Health Trust as a thought leader and reliable community partner through storytelling, transparency, and data-driven messaging. My work included:

  • Developing and maintaining an editorial strategy centered on equity, partnership, and measurable impact

  • Writing and editing blog posts, grantee spotlights, and executive messages that made complex health topics accessible

  • Leading content creation and message coordination for the organization’s transition communications, including the CEO announcement and related web and social updates

  • Refining SEO elements and metadata to improve discoverability and alignment with the organization’s mission keywords

  • Partnering across departments to ensure messaging consistency, clarity, and stakeholder confidence

Results & Impact

  • Guided transition communications that built trust and understanding among staff, partners, and funders during a major organizational shift

  • Increased organic reach and search visibility through optimized content structure and tagging

  • Improved engagement metrics across blog and social platforms by connecting data, impact, and personal narratives

  • Strengthened The Health Trust’s reputation as a transparent and forward-thinking leader in public health and equity

Through strategic storytelling and cohesive digital strategy, I helped transform The Health Trust’s communications into a unified, mission-driven narrative — one that honored its history while charting a confident new path forward.
